Thanks to the generous contributions from our community and supporters like you, Mt. Holiday is thrilled to announce a series of substantial improvement projects made possible through our capital campaign. These enhancements will significantly upgrade our facilities and elevate the skiing experience for all visitors.
Lighting Electrical Upgrades
- Electrical lighting improvements in Oleson’s and Tubing Areas
- Labor and materials for LED hardware installations and electrical enhancements to improve lighting quality and energy efficiency.
Pump Station & Wet Pit
- Engineering and installation of a booster station
- Prework including permitting, surveying, and retention pond site preparation.
- Equipment rental, pre-cast concrete, wet pit construction, power supply improvements
- Environmental considerations including revegetation and the use of a bubbler for water aeration.
Pumphouse Construction
- Building and infrastructure development
- Permitting, detailed drawings, monolithic slab, and new barn construction.
- Wiring, insulation, electrical control panels.
Snowmaking Plumbing
- Full project pipework including various steel piping, trenching, housing, equipment rental, and miscellaneous pipe fittings.
- Construction of air release vaults and installation of snowmaking hydrants.
Snowmaking Electrical
- Full project electrical work including armored cable installation, electrical pedestals, utility crossings, and electrical disconnects.
- Transformer installations.
Snowmaking Cannons
- Upgrading snowmaking equipment with the purchase and upgrade of Super PoleCat mobile snowmakers, Grizzly low-e sticks, modernization of Highland snowmakers, and acquisition of various hose lengths with fittings for support.
These capital improvements will dramatically enhance the infrastructure and functionality of Mt. Holiday, ensuring a safer, more enjoyable, and environmentally friendly experience for our visitors. The total community investment at work is an astounding $1,336,371.
